Can I stay in San Francisco forever?
Pretty please…. pretty pretty please?!?!?!
I think today has been one of my all time favorite days of my life. It started with a perfect run and just kept getting better and better from there. I am not even close to being ready to go home yet; I want to stay here forever.
Foodbuzz wrapped up their first annual blogger festival with a Nature’s Pride & Kerrygold sponsored brunch at Lulu Restaurant in the heart of San Francisco.

They had a great selection of great eats including salads, croque monsieur’s, french toast and egg frittatas.

Plate Numero Uno

Plate Numero Dos

Ryan (the girl) gave a final speech

and with that the festival had come to an end.
Thanks again FoodBuzz! CONGRATS on a hugely successful festival. I can’t wait for next year’s events.
Next up: Blogger road trip to Sonoma County!

Jenna’s friend Adam hooked Kath, Tina, Beth T, and myself up with two private wine tastings.

Beautiful can not even begin to describe the breath taking views from the vineyards.

A handful of trail mix was consumed on the way from the fields to our first tasting.

Matanzas Creek Winery was our first stop of the day.

Palette cleansers

We sampled 6 wines through the course of our tasting

- 2007 Sauvignon Blanc, Sonoma Country
- 2007 Journey Charonnay
- 2007 Pinot Noir, Bennett Valley
- 2006 Merlot, Bennett Valley
- 2005 Merlot, Jackson Park Vineyard
- 2006 Cabernet, Sonoma County

My favorites were the 2005 Merlot and the Cabernet. I ended up bringing a bottle of the cab back home. (I hope you like it Derek!)

Next stop: Arrowood Vineyards & WInery

More wine was served and more wine was happily consumed.

The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon, Reserve Speciale was easily my favorite of the Arrowhead wines.

We had our fill of wine, now it was time for food!

complimentary olives

Drink: Anderson Valley Winter Solstice

Delicious chewy bread

The table split a trio of appetizers

‘The Works’ Goat Cheese Sampler

Fritas

Crispy Pork Belly

The appetizers were all amazing, but sadly the bowl of broth I ordered as my meal was not.

Luckily, Adam shared his burger with me. Yum!

We headed next door to El Dorado to continue our Sonoma Valley dining experience with dessert.

Again, the table split a trio of amazing dishes.
Tahitian Vanilla Creme Brulee

Pumpkin Pie & Apple Crumb Tasting Plate

Smores Tarte — my favorite

Many thanks to Adam for treat us all to both dinner and dessert! It was truly a pleasure to meet you and I look forward to many more visits in the future!
Sadly, that concluded my fun adventures in wine country for the day. *sniff *sniff
Words can not describe how fabulous this weekend has been; I can’t believe it has to come to an end. Tonight I take the red eye out of San Francisco and tomorrow morning I will be safe and sound home in Orlando.
I will miss everything about my experience this weekend, expecially all of the good wine, good food, and most importantly goof friends.
