Moes? Qdoba? Chipolte? Tijuana Flatts?
None of these famous burrito chains have anything on me.
I love a massive over stuffed burrito from my favorite burrito chain as much as the next girl, but when you’re on a budget and watching your waistline building something as equally yummy is a great alternative.
I filled my wrap with some of my favorite burrito fixins and random refrigerator finds.
- Left over Rice & Beans from Friday Night
- Spinach
- Tomato
- Jalapenos
- Red Onions
- Salsa
- Cilantro
- Sprouts
- Feta
- Plain Oikos yogurt aka ‘sour cream’
- Avocado
I envisioned in my head a grilled burrito and need less to say my stuffed masterpiece was a bit of a challenge to control in the George Foreman.
A couple strategically placed toothpicks saved the day.
This huge burrito was certainly a meal in it self.
Just as I usually do at any fast food burrito joint – a knife and fork were needed.
To wash down the messy, spicy burrito I had a sweet Pluot.
Before my burrito escapades I tried the Cranberry Heart Thrive Cookie.
Me liked.
Lemon Poppyseed is still my favorite, but I enjoyed how the cranberry had the same rich heartiness to the cookie that gave it great filling power.
Free Kashi Cereal!!!
Yet again Kashi is showing by awesome they are by promoting another of their stellar marketing campaigns to send the nation a sample of their delish products. This time it’s cereal! You know how I love my Kashi cereal!
Head over to Kashi’s website now to sign up for your free sample of either their Honey Sunshine, Go Lean Crunch, or Blueberry Oat Clusters. There is also the ‘surprise’ option for those of us who can’t decide!
Which one did you pick? Or do you want to be surprised?

I picked the GoLean Crunch, seems like the perfect one to use as a yogurt topping, and the sunshine seems too similar to puffins in texture (I have a box right now). I signed up for my sample first thing this morning!

Ahh toothpicks must be the trick! That did not work for me with a tomato panini last week.
I chose the blueberry clusters because that’s the one I’ve never tried and I figured this was a no pressure opportunity to give it a taste

That is a gooood lookin burrito. I bet it’s way healthier than what you get at the burrito joints too. However, a good burrito joint is an indulgence I will never give up. I havn’t signed up for the free sample yet, but I just bought some Kashi Autumn Wheat cereal. I never had it before, and I like it alot. Just a hint of sweetness, which is perfect.
