Welcome to my Second Blogging Bake Sale of 2009! I hope your sweet tooth is ready to be tantalized, listed below I have over 40 unique treats ready to be bidded on and shipped your way.
Before you begin please review the Rule & Logistics I reposted yesterday.
All funds raised from this event will go directly to my Team in Training Efforts to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This is 100% for a good cause and I am hoping we can raise enough to break my goal amount today!
Remember there is a mininum bid of $20 on each item and e-mail all bids to BLOGBAKESALE@GMAIL.COM
ALL BIDS MUST BE E-MAILED, NO BIDS LEFT IN THE COMMENTS WILL BE COUNTED!!!!!!!!!
I will update the ‘bid section’ on the bottom of this post through out the day on which items are currently being bidded on and what the highest bid is. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Oh and just to make this a little bit more exciting I have a little surprise for you all. You know all those wonderful items I have been reviewing the past couple of weeks? Well here is your chance to try them out for yourself.
For each LEGITIMATE bid e-mailed to me your name will be entered to win this amazing prize pack containing samples from Awesome Almonds, YouBars, Pisachioats, GNU Bars, Simple Harvest Bars, Honest Food Bars, and a couple of what-ever other treats I feel like throwing in.
All bakers automatically have their name entered for a chance to win as well.
So even if you’re not the highest bidder, you still stand a chance of winning something fun.
READY??
SET????
GOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Whitney - Whitney in Chicago
The highest bidder of Whitney’s Granola will receive 2 quart sized bags of completely customizable granola. Whitney can make the granola with any types of nuts and/or dried fruit of your choosing, but has had great success with almonds, cranberries and pistachios in the past.
Want proof her granola is good? Whitney’s Granola has made appearances on both Andrea and Kath’s blog to rave reviews. Her granola is a blog world hit.
Assortment of Vegan Cookies
Nicole – Another One Bites the Crust
Soft and chewy on the inside with a crisp, crunchy outside, these assorted vegan cookies will please any palette! This gift box of 24 cookies includes chocolate chip, peanut butter, oatmeal raisin and more. Cooookies! If you have any allergies, let me know and I will be sure to accommodate.
Michelle – Balance My Cake
My Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Loaf is a big hit with all my family and friends that have tried it! I take a mix of whole wheat and all purpose flour, flax seed, applesauce, brown sugar (or can be made with Splenda Brown Sugar blend if you desire!), pumpkin, cinnamon, vanilla, etc! It is a dense loaf, VERY moist, and it just oozes semi-sweet chocolate chips! It has the subtle taste of pumpkin, but the chocolate really is the star. It is excellent slightly heated, and enjoyed with your favorite nut butter! It is oil and egg-free, and it contains no peanuts or nuts of any kind. Obviously, I work in a kitchen where I do eat nuts, so it may contain traces, so I don’t suggest it if you’re allergic! You won’t be disappointed if you love pumpkin and chocolate!
Eva – Blog reader
Valrhona 71% Brownies — essentially brownies made with Valrhona’s 71% cocoa dark chocolate. They are super rich but this chocolate is of the highest quality. The bid is for two batches (roughly 30 large brownies) and the winner can choose to add nuts of their choice, if they like.
Super Charge Me Cookies
Jenna – Eat Live Run ![]()
Up for bid is a batch of Super Charge Me cookies baked by the hand of the professional pastry chef herself. These cookies are vegan and contain nut butter, spelt flour, maple syrup, coconut, dried cranberries, dark chocolate, ground flax and canola oil. They are tasty and semi-healthy. The highest bidder will receive one batch (roughly 15) of the home made cookies.
Mix-and-Match Nut Butter Cups
Mallory – A Bacon Wrapped Life
Mix-and-Match Nut Butter Cups! I’m not much of a “baker” in the typical sense, but I love to make candies and treats that don’t require much measuring. These Nut Butter Cups are the perfect answer for a sweet treat craving. After you’ve won the bid, I’ll create your personalized package of 2 dozen nut butter cups! You can choose up to 3 different combinations (or all one type!) of outside candy coatings and nut butter fillings from choices I’ll have ready once you’ve bid. They’ll be freshly made just for you!!
Heather – Heather Eats Almond Butter
I’ll be baking my Maple Nut Butter Oaties. There will be 2 dozen cookies, and the bidder can choose either chocolate chip, carob chip, or raisin. They are vegan and are soy, peanut, gluten, and dairy free, but I promise they’re good!
Vegan Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies
Vani- Fit For Free
Super-dark-chocolate vegan cookies with hints of vanilla and molasses. I will make these cookies as healthy as the buyer wants them (e.g., less oil, whole-wheat flour).
Want to know more about these delish cookies? Check out this entry on how much Vani enjoyed them herself.
Andrea – Bella Eats
This bread is healthy. Very healthy. White whole wheat flour, natural sugar, no added oil. Spread with some nut butter, this bread would make an excellent breakfast alongside a cup of coffee. The banana is subtle, the chunks of dates add wonderfully sweet bites that are reminiscent of caramel, and the apples keep the bread perfectly moist. I think that this is my favorite bread recipe yet.
Andrea – Bella Eats
I used natural sweeteners (turbinado sugar and the dates, of course) and whole wheat pastry flour to make the recipe a bit healthier than some of the others I was looking at. But don’t let that fool you, they still aren’t light in calories. But overall, I am very happy with the result. The sweetness of the dates complements the saltiness of the peanuts perfectly. The dates are subtle and delicious.
Sarah – Tales of Expansion
I adapted this recipe from one for “Earl Grey Tea Cookies” in the May 2005 issue of Real Simple magazine. The cookies became biscotti (1) when I tried to make them healthy and (2) when I cooked them too long and burned the bottoms (typical), whoops. These bites are perfect for dipping in tea and CAN be made vegan with all canola oil in place of the canola/butter mixture. The winning bidder will receive 3 doz. biscotti bites! See Kath’s review of the Biscotti Bites here.
Amanda- Blog Reader
This ultimate indulgence has earned me a reputation among family and friends! These gigantic super moist blondies are loaded with peanuts, banana pieces, and chocolate chips. The only thing missing from this banana split is a scoop of ice cream!
Package contains 8 jumbo blondies. Ingredients include flour, butter, eggs, and peanuts.
Amanda- Blog Reader
For those of you who enjoy the crispy edges of a dessert or their cookies on the crunchy side (a la biscotti) – this dessert assortment is for you! Enjoy a variety of treats, including banana split blondies, symphony blondies, chocolate chunk brownies, and oatmeal cookie bars. These bites are a perfect complement to a warm cup of coffee or tea. Grab one fast, they will disappear quickly.
Package contains 3 dozen bars. Ingredients include flour, butter, eggs, peanuts and almonds.
Tami – Journey of a Runner
Homemade Faux Oreo cookies. The recipe is from King Arthur and these cookies will make any oreo lover happy. You will receive one dozen Faux Oreos, while I don’t believe there are nuts or other allergens, if you have food sensitivities, I would bid on something else that will be offered up.
N Her Shoes Homemade Power Bars
Bobbi – N Her Shoes
I know that it’s not cookies, but it is still super AMAZING!!!! Bobbi’s Homemade Power Bars adapted from the cook book “Super Natural Cooking”. The highest bidder will receive 24 individual bars.
These bars contain coconut oil (or regular butter), pecans, dried fruit(banana chips), slivered almonds, (unsweetened) shredded coconut, rolled oats, unsweetened crisp brown rice cereal, brown rice syrup, natural cane sugar, fine-grain sea salt, espresso beans, and pure vanilla extract
Challah (x2)
Mara – What’s For Dinner?
The fresh baked Challah is a slightly sweet, slightly eggy braided bread, usually topped with an egg wash to make it shiny, and then covered in sesame or poppy seeds. These smell heavenly out of the oven and a perfect light brown color.
There will be 2 lucky winners for this tasty treats. Each winner will receive 2 loaves of Challah!
Almond Brittle
Pearl – Fresh & Pure
My family absolutely loved my homemade brittle and said that it was better than See’s.
But, don’t take my word for it. Check out what Sarah had to say when she received some Almond Brittle in her Secret Cupid Gift. “Oh my heckengolly. This is the best brittle I have ever had. Ever. That is saying a lot coming from a girl who has had homemade peanut brittle every Christmas since she can remember. It was perfect, not too sweet, not sticky at all and nuttier than Gary Busey.”
White Chocolate Chip Lime (Macadamia Nut) Cookies
Heather – Hangry Pants
Although not my recipe, these cookies are one of my favorite and are always requested by my friends and family. The marriage of white chocolate chip and lime is a happy one and brings joy to the taste
buds of all who try it. This time around I will make them with macadamia nuts if the buyer desires, so they will be more like the
hottest new Clif Bar flavor.
Vegan Upon Request. 2 Dozen Freezer Friendly Cookies.
Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Banana Bread
Danielle – A Year of Healthy Eats
I am donating 1 loaf of Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Banana Bread. This obviously contains peanut butter so anyone with a nut allergy shouldn’t bid on this loaf. My recipe is adapted from a recipe from Vegeterian Times.
Peanut Butter Granola
Polly – Yoga is Yummy
Polly’s Peanut Butter Granola is made with all natural peanut butter, honey, butter, vanilla, salt and thick coat oats. This recipe does contain dairy and peanuts, so those with allergies beware! Otherwise this peanutty mix is stick to your ribs delicious!
Megan – Megan’s Munchies
This bread is full of sweet and spicy flavors. The combination of sweet potatoes and oat flour make it extra moist. It is egg and dairy free, so it can be enjoyed by vegans. The recipe uses agave nectar, but honey or maple syrup can be used if desired. This recipe can also be adjusted to use another dairy alternative other than soy milk.
Lisa – Lisa Hearts Pizza
These little gems are my favorite cookie. While some consider this flavor combo seasonal, I love them year round as they never fail to remind me of Christmas. It is a recipe passed down from my Aunt with just the right amount of crunch and sweetness. At your request I will gladly drizzle them with the chocolate of your choice(milk, dark or white). Consider them a perfectly portion controlled way to satisfy your sweet tooth! I will be making 20 biscotti for the lucky winner!
Erin – Gluten Free With a Purpose
A moist, sweet loaf filled with pears, cinnamon and pecans….drizzled with a cinnamon sugar glaze.
Can be made with or without pecans AND gluten free or non-gluten free!
Customizeable Blondie
The highest bidder had complete control with this one. VeggieGirl has offered a customizable blondie to the highest bidder. This means you have the option to review the multiple wonderful combinations VeggieGirl has delivered in the past and come up with a combo you believe will work the best for you.
All of VeggieGIrl’s treats are vegan friendly and wheat and glutten free.
Carrots n’ Cake: Reader’s Choice
Tina – Carrots n’ Cake
Tina has graciously offered to bake up any batch of her famous baked goods or cookies she whips up on her blog.
So what are you feeling, her famously delicious Oatmeal Rasin Bars? Pumpkin Coconut Date Bars? or even Banana Oatmeal Chip Cookies? The choice is yours!
Macaroons
Gina – The Fitnessista
Last bake sale Gina’s Maccaroons brought quite a crowd, eventually earning top dollar at $100.
These macaroons are made with almonds, unsweetened coconut, coconut oil, cinnamon, vanilla extract, sea salt and pure maple syrup. They’re dehydrated for 24-36 hours and are firm on the outside, and soft and chewy in the center. Bid early and bid high, these babies are going to fly!
Vegan Organic Oatmeal Coconut Crumble
Sarah – This Tasty Life
The winner will receive one 8×8 pan worth of this wonderful crumble packaged in craft takeout boxes for easy serving distribution. However if the bid for this item reaches $75 or more I will double the amount!
I am open to customization. If you do not like carob chips I will gladly substitute organic chocolate chips (milk or dark), white chocolate, butterscotch, or peanut butter chips. Please note this would change possible allergan information and make the recipe non vegan.
Danica – Danica’s Daily
The highest bidder will receive 24 of my Homemade Girl Scout Samoas, 24 of my Mock Tag-A-Longs and as an added bonus the winner of my package can pick another item on my site (or special ordered) and I will gladly include that as well. The winner will also have their choice of chocolate ~ milk, dark, vegan or white.
*Allergies – includes peanuts for the samoas and dairy for both (chocolate)
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins
Super soft and chock full of spices these muffins are the perfect snack, especially with the added chocolate chips!
Custom Blondies
Jasmine – Sweet & Fit
The hJasmineighest bidder will receive 16 fresh, homemade blondies which they can customize with any add in of their choosing. Some of my greater examples of the past include Butterscotch Banana Blondies, Coconut Chocolate Chip Blondies and the ultra rich Butterscotch – Peanut Butter – Chocolate Chip Blondie.
Chunky Monkey Brownies
Nicole – Another One Bites the Crust
You will be exploding with happiness once you sink your these decadent, rich brownies! These vegan treats are loaded with walnuts, dried banana slices, and sprinkled with chunks of chocolate. The flavor trio is sure to please any palette! The Chunky Monkey brownies are free of dairy and egg, and can also be made gluten-free upon request
Enjoy!
Customizable Chip Cookies
Juli -
Peanut Butter and Juli
I will send 2 dozen cookies, and the person can customize the combination of chocolate chips used (semi-sweet, peanut butter, toffee, etc.).
As a self-proclaimed cookie expert, I have to say that these cookies are probably some of the best I have ever had (if not the best). They are fantastically efficient so that eating one satisfies any urge for sweets, while not feeling like a total fatty for eating a giant cookie…
These cookies are also an incredible mix of textures. They are light, almost fluffy and the combination of the dough texture with the chips is top notch. Furthermore, the sheer presentation of the cookies is unmatched. Just look at them! Don’t you just want to eat every single one of them! I do. I dare you to find a better looking chocolate chip cookie than these.
Homemade Granola Bars
Jasmine – Sweet & Fit
Homemade granola bars with raisins, cranberries, wheat germ, honey, almonds, wheat germ, sunflower seeds, old-fashioned oats. (quantity: 16)
Natalie
They are vegan, chocolate chip cookies made with no nuts or nut butters. They are big-about 4+ inches in diameter and I will be making 10-12.
Monica – Run Eat Repeat
They are lightly sweet and muffin-y in texture. You don’t need to even love sweet potato to love these! I had taster-testers who didn’t like sweet potatoes, but really liked them. Part of what makes them light and cakey in texture is I use apple sauce instead of butter in the recipe, so they are a bit healthier than most baked goodies too!
~*~*~*CANADIANS ONLY *~*~*~
Reverse Chocolate Chip Macadamia Nut Cookies
Karen – To Be The Whole Package
These one are a perennial favorite whenever I make them. For a couple of Christmases in a row they’ve been a huge hit. In fact I do believe it’s what my ex-roomie most misses about me! lol
Just in case people are wondering it’s peanut free and so is my home (since I’m allergic). Having said that because they contain chocolate they are not suitable for people with severe peanut allergies.
Angela – Glo Bakery
Now is your chance to win a Glo Bakery Bar Sampler pack from Glo Bakery! The bar sampler is totally customizable. You get to pick 4 different flavours of bars for a total of 8 bars! Choose from these amazing flavours: Pumpkin Spice ‘n All Things Nice, Choco Peppy-Mint, Banana, Chocolate Banana Mint, Pistachio, Pecan, Chocolate Banana. Coming soon: Chocolate Hazelnut! Visit http://globakery.com/bar to see all the pictures!
Chocolate Raspberry Layer Bars
Meaghen – Live. Love. Laugh. Eat. Learn.
My almost world famous chocolate raspberry layer bars start off with a shortbread base, topped with a layer of raspberry jam, topped with a mixture of white chocolate and cream cheese, all of which is topped off with a layer of milk chocolate. They are made in an 8 x 8 pan and make 16 delicious bars!!!!
*These bars do contain dairy, however are nut free.
